A 52-year old German tourist snorkeled off of Coraya Beach when a mako shark bit off his right leg. The shark then pulled the snorkeler under. Upon surfacing, a zodiac approached the victim and the crew tried to pull him into the boat. During that manoeuver the shark bit the person for a second time, into the side. The victim was reported dead on arrival at the hospital.
