Yves Berthelot was snorkeling a few meters off the beach when he was bitten mulltiple times by a very large bull shark. The incident occurred off of Kouare island, New Caledonia. Although some of his friends pulled him from the water and applied first aid right away, he could not be revived and passed away 45 minutes later.
