Evonne Cashman went snorkeling at 08:45 in the morning. The water was rather murky, due to a past storm. Cashman reported that she saw a large turtle immediately before she got bitten. The tiger shark bit her several times. Cashman had wounds on her upper back, in her face and both hands. The murky water, and the presence of the turle, likely turned the situation into a competitive one between Evonne Cashman and the tiger shark. Since the shark only caused superficial wounds, it looks as if the animal tried to get her away from the turle...
