The 68 year old Austrian diver, Leo Mairhofer, likely drowning during a reef dive and was then scavenged by a shark. The dive group where Mr Mairhofer wsa part of had to ascend through a very low visibility layer and then realized that he was not with the group anymore. An immediate search launched was not successful until 5 hours later when the remains were found. Although shark bites were evident, it is believed by the authorities that he did not die due to a shark but was already dead when it happened.
