Paul Santos was surfing at Kiholo Bay when a tiger shark bit him. The water at Kiholo Bay was murky when the incident occurred. Some people also mention that this bay is often frequented by turtles - a preferred prey of tiger sharks. Paul saved himself and reached the beach on his own. He was bitten in his left forearm.
