66 year old Austrian traveller Friedrich Burgstaller from Hofkirchen im Mühlstein was swimming at Second Beach close to Port St. John when he got fatally injured by a 2m shark. It remains unclear why Mr Burgstaller chose this well known beach for being frequently visited by sharks for his afternoon swim. He was bitten in chest-deep water. His wife Margit was eye witness of the incident.
