Adam Strange, 46, was killed on Tuesday, February 26, in New Zealand, while swimming 200m off the beach of ‘Muriwai Beach’ south of Auckland. It was assumed to be a 4m white shark. Lifeguards who rushed to the scene fired at the shark but apparently without injuring the animal. Beside this beach, all the other beaches within the area were closed as well.
